What am I going to see when I come to Lookingglass Alice?

From The Lookingglass Alice 2008 Issue of ArtAntica
Mentioned in this entry: Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi, Larry DiStasi, Lauren Hirte and Tony Hernandez

Lookingglass Alice is famous for its incredible incorporation of daring circus skills. A lot of the credit for that goes to Artistic Associate Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi. The circus training she gave the Ensemble in its early days helped to establish Lookingglass as a theatre company known for physical work. Her Lookingglass credits include; The Master and Margarita ,The Baron In The Trees, The Vanishing Twin, Her Name Was Danger, Hard Times, La Luna Muda, Manuscript Found In Saragossa and Black Diamond. Sylvia grew up performing in the circus along with her brother, Tony Hernandez (known to many Lookingglass fans as Hephaestus in the smash hit Hephaestus: A Greek Mythology Circus Tale). Sylvia now is the Artistic Director of the Actors Gymnasium in Evanston which she founded with her husband, Larry DiStasi (A Lookingglass Ensemble member who plays the White Knight and many others in Lookingglass Alice).
