Residency Programs

Lookingglass Residency Programs bring the world of the theatre straight to the classroom through guest artist residencies. Our teaching artists focus on teaching the “Lookingglass method”, which emphasizes invention, transformation, and collaboration. Additionally, we work with schools and teachers to develop arts-integrated curriculum designed to support learning in the classroom. Our unique curriculum is aligned with the Illinois State Standards for arts education. Our programs can be offered during school or after school, and are individually customized with our partners’ goals and needs in mind. Currently we are at work in over twenty schools and community agencies in and around Chicago! To bring a Lookingglass program to your school, or to inquire further, please contact Lizzie Perkins, Community Programs Manager at 773.477.9257 x104.
