The Lookingglass Junior Board invites you to join The Madhatter at his clandestine hideaway to kick off summer with the most unique fundraiser of the year. Don your fedora, cloche, bowler, trilby or boater, whisper the password, draw back the velvet curtain, and enjoy a sophisticated evening featuring criminal cocktails, live entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, DJs, dancing, and a salacious silent auction and raffle. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Attire is “chic Chicago cocktail.” Costumes are optional, but hats are recommended.
The Madhatter's Ball raises funds to advance Lookingglass’ commitment to creating new theatrical work and increasing its work with Chicago-area students and families through education and community programming. Lookingglass' acclaimed theater education programs encourage self-esteem and creativity in thousands of students every year.

The Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board promotes Lookingglass Theatre Company to a broad demographic. It assists in raising funds for the theatre’s operation, expansion and outreach of Lookingglass’ Education and Community programs, which encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence for thousands of students each year.
The Junior Board represents an enthusiastic network of innovative young professionals from Chicagoland. The Junior Board supports Lookingglass through marketing, networking, and special events designed to garner awareness and raise funds.
Founded in 2001, The Lookingglass Junior Board has quickly grown to become one of the most influential associate boards in Chicago. Since its founding, the group has raised more than half a million dollars through special events and individual donations. With over 30 members from various professions, it represents the diversity, energy and enthusiasm that has shepherded Lookingglass to become one of the nation’s premier theatre companies.
Every year the Lookingglass Junior Board hosts The Madhatter's Ball to raise funds for Lookingglass' acclaimed education and community programs. More than ten years ago, founder Billy Dec with Ensemble Members David Schwimmer and Joey Slotnick created a high-profile fundraiser unlike any other that has grown to one of Chicago’s most talk-about events.
