Junior Board

The Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board promotes Lookingglass Theatre Company to a broad demographic. It assists in raising funds for the theatre’s operation, expansion and outreach of Lookingglass’ Education and Community programs, which encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence for thousands of students each year.

The Junior Board represents an enthusiastic network of innovative young professionals from Chicagoland. The Junior Board supports Lookingglass through marketing, networking, and special events designed to garner awareness and raise funds.

Founded in 2001, The Lookingglass Junior Board has quickly grown to become one of the most influential associate boards in Chicago. Since its founding, the group has raised more than half a million dollars through special events and individual donations. With over 30 members from various professions, it represents the diversity, energy and enthusiasm that has shepherded Lookingglass to become one of the nation’s premier theatre companies.

This year, Lookingglass Theatre’s Junior Board celebrates a landmark milestone for the event, its 10th anniversary. Ten years ago, founders David Schwimmer, Billy Dec and Joey Slotnick created a high-profile fundraiser unlike any other that has grown to one of Chicago’s most talk-about events.
