Lookingglass Theatre’s Junior Board announces a new concept for its popular Madhatter’s Ball. The event will take place on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. with a performance of Lookingglass Alice at Lookingglass Theatre, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The production will be followed by an elegant event at the new lobby and deca RESTAURANT + BAR inside The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, 160 E. Pearson, from 9:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m. An after-party will be held at The Underground, 56 W. Illinois St., with DJ Ire, from 12 a.m.-2:00 a.m.
This year, the Junior Board is partnering with The Ritz Carlton for this year's Madhatter’s Ball venue— just steps from the theatre. The event will celebrate the brand new beautiful lobby and deca RESTAURANT + BAR. Cocktails, with hors d'eourves and desserts from deca’s Executive Chef Mark Payne, will be served. In conjunction with the production of Lookingglass Alice, the theme of the party is Alice in Wonderland and will feature a DJ and silent auction.
Madhatter’s Ball is co-chaired by Ensemble Members Joey Slotnick and Andy White and Lookingglass Board Member Jon Harris, Senior Vice President of Global Communications for Sara Lee.
Proceeds from the evening’s events will support the operation, expansion and outreach of Lookingglass’ Education and Community programs, which encourage creativity, teamwork and confidence for thousands of community members each year.
